Superbrief:
OneKeyII is like OneKey by Carolyn Scheppner, except it needs KS 2.0 or
greater, doesn't crash under KS 2.1, and has a couple of enhancements.
OneKeyII lets you type one-key-at-a-time, so rather than press
ctrl-lamiga-help all in one go, you can press control, then press lamiga,
then press help as three distinct keystrokes. Note that you cannot do a
warm reboot in this manner.
Designed to be launched from sys:WBStartup. Just plonk it's icon there.
TOOLTYPES:
Name Default Description
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
CX_PRIORITY 100 Commodity priority. Must be high to be
ahead of the others.
CX_POPUP TRUE Whether to show window on startup.
CX_POPKEY control 1 Key to open/show status window.
LEFTEDGE 40 Left-edge of status window
TOPEDGE 20 Top-edge of status window
TOGGLE FALSE Whether toggle-mode is active (see below).
What's this window that opens? It shows which qualifiers are selected and
will be added to the next non-qualifier keystroke. You can open it/bring it
to front using the key specified in the CX_POPKEY tooltype, or by selecting
'Show' from the Commodities Exchange program, or by starting OneKeyII up
again.
It has a small menu attached; all items do the obvious thing. It has no
explicit dragbar; instead, the whole window acts as a dragbar (like
TinyClock). This keeps the window small and flexible.
Toggle mode may or may not be useful. What it means is that pressing a
qualifier twice removes it from the selection. e.g. you want to get
'shift f1' but accidentally press 'control' first. With toggle mode on, you
can press 'control' again to remove it, then start again.
One glitch: programs that put their input-handlers above the commodidies
handler wont be affected. Nowadays such programs are rare.
That's it, said it was superbrief!
